Our model separates galaxies into two classes, ellipticals and spirals, with different star formation histories, and includes a crude estimate of luminosity evolution due to accretion of satellite galaxies. We find that the recent determination of the density parameter {OMEGA}_0_ by Loh and Spillar is uncertain by at least {DELTA}{OMEGA} = +/-1.
