Abstract
There is growing interest in the use of arthroplasty for the acute management of proximal humerus and distal humerus fractures in elderly patients. It is important to evaluate key strategies regarding decision making and surgical technique in the use of arthroplasty following upper extremity trauma. Arthroplasty for the management of failed fracture surgery represents a challenging clinical problem. An approach to workup, decision making, and choice of arthroplasty in the management of these complex injuries is presented.Instr Course Lect 2026;75:-454.
