Abstract

Abstract Diamagnetic effects are included in the calculation of the electrical resistivity of a Bloch wall in a ferromagnetic metal. The resulting electron orbits, which are convoluted zig‐zag‐ging trajectories near the wall, produce an increase in the resistivity which is roughly proportional to (ω c τ) 2 , where ω c is the cyclotron frequency of the electron due to the internal magnetization. Such an effect explains satisfactorily the experimental data reported in the literature.
